Anti-Defamation League

Traditional illustration and contemporary design rendered for a concert filled with somber stories and uplifting messages. The Anti-Defamation League was looking for a design that helped capture a lot of the raw emotion behind the concert. I focused on one of the most expressive parts of our bodies - the eyes.

Using charcoal and conté crayon I created an illustration that was a universal stand-in for anyone who has experienced the fear, bigotry, and violence that accompanies hate. A powerful color combination also helped convey a sense of imposing forces and a thirst for action. Distressed, uppercase, typography commands our message be heard. Package included postcard, invitations, and program literature.
